CVD Coated Grades For Cast Iron Turning

Grade Description: Thick TiCN + Thick Al2O3 (CVD) Coated Carbide (Black Diamond Grade for Cast Irons)


YBD052 (ISO Class: K05-K15)
The CVD coating with ultra-thick Al2O3 and thick TiCN layer is strongly bonded to the ultrafine tungsten carbide substrate. It offers highly smooth surface that is excellent for high-speed and dry turning of grey cast irons.

YBD102 (ISO Class: K05-K20)
The CVD coating with thick Al2O3 and TiCN layer is strongly bonded to the ultrafine tungsten carbide substrate. It is suitable for nodular cast irons

YBD151 (ISO Class: K05-K25)
It is the premium grade for medium to rough machining of cast irons, nodular cast irons at high cutting speeds. It consists of strong carbide substrate, and MT-Ti(CN)+ medium thick layer Al2O3 and TiN coating that offers excellent wear resistance.

YBD152 (ISO Class: K05-K25)
It is a general-purpose grade for cast irons turning. The CVD coating with medium thick Al2O3 and thick TiCN layer has excellent adhesion to the high-strength ultrafine tungsten carbide. It is suitable for medium to high speed turning. At medium speed it can withstand minor machining shock during operations, such as interrupted turning.

YBD152C (ISO Class: K05-K30) (new!)
It is an improved grade over YBD152C for general-purpose cast irons turning. With thicker CVD Al2O3 coating in conjunction of TC chipbreaker, this grade offers more stable performance, better wear resistance and longer tool life at higher cutting speeds (up to Vc=450 m/min., or 575 fpm).

YBD252 (ISO Class: K15-K30)
The CVD coating with medium thick Al2O3 and thick TiCN layer on a high-strength tungsten carbide substrate. It offers excellent combination of wear resistance and toughness. It is suitable for low-medium high speed turning of nodular cast irons.
